Mantan pemain Manchester United, Carlos Tevez, disebut-sebut dikaitkan dengan Persib Bandung. Rumor tersebut menjadi perbincangan hangat di media termasuk media sosial.
Kabar tersebut berawal dari laman Wikipedia yang mencatumkan Tevez akan bergabung dengan Persib Bandung tahun depan. Namun informasi tersebut tentunya tidak bisa dijadikan sebagai rujukan resmi. Pasalnya, laman informasi publik dunia itu terbuka untuk direvisi secara umum oleh siapapun.
Kabar Tevez merapat ke Maung Bandung pun mendapatkan tanggapan serius dari bobotoh. Mereka langsung memenuhi kolom komentar salah satu foto yang diunggah oleh Tevez lewat akun Instagram pribadinya. Banyak dari bobotoh yang sibuk menyebut nama Persib dalam komentar-komentar mereka.
Menanggapi hal itu, Direktur PT. Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) hanya membalas dengan senyuman. Teddy justru menyebut gelandang Manchester City, Yaya Toure, sebagai pemain impian untuk bisa didatangkan.
"Yaya Toure bagus tuh," kata Teddy dikutip dari Bola.com.
Kontrak Yaya Toure bersama Manchester City akan berakhir akhir musim nanti. Mantan pemain Barcelona ini jarang dimainkan oleh Pep Guardiola pada musim 2017/18 setelah hanya memainkan delapan pertandingan di semua kompetisi sejauh ini.
Manajemen PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat sendiri menyerahkan sepenuhnya masalah perekrutan pemain asing untuk mengarungi musim kompetisi 2018 kepada pelatih Roberto Carlos Mario Gomez.
